Early Phase 1

When a patient has only baby teeth, our primary goal is to help improve structural issues leading to sleep-disturbed breathing and make space for the developing teeth. Treatment typically involves a removable or fixed expander.

Phase 1 (Interceptive Orthodontics)

This phase of treatment normally begins around age seven, when the first permanent molar teeth erupt. Our aim is to create space for the developing teeth and improve jaw development. Treatment usually includes a removable appliance or fixed expander, along with Invisalign® or braces.

Phase 2 (Teen Orthodontics)

When most or all permanent teeth have grown in, we proceed with Phase 2 of treatment. Our goal is to make sure teeth are ideally positioned for optimal function, a healthy bite, good periodontal/gum health, and a beautiful smile. Invisalign® Teen is a popular appliance used to achieve these goals.
